Sustainable Dining

As the largest comprehensive university in Switzerland, the University of Zurich has a responsibility towards society and the environment. Our goal is to make a positive environmental contribution while raising awareness among our guests about climate-friendly nutrition.

Sustainability in dining is a central strategic goal of the university’s cafeterias. The fully vegetarian/vegan cafeteria is Rämi59. In addition, the Green Kitchen Lab at Irchel and the city center (starting semester 27) offers exceptional, climate-friendly dining options.

Sustainability in dining focuses on the following key areas:

  • Climate impact
  • Resource conservation / waste reduction
  • Health
